Kristin Martinez

Major: Advertising/Public Relations

Q: What is your dream company to work for?

A:  I don’t have a specific company in mind. However, I love all things fashion and beauty related so I would love to work for an advertising/PR company that specializes in those areas or represent brands that do!

Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?

A:  I could not live without Netflix! My favorite thing to do when I have downtime is to relax, snack, and watch my favorite shows on Netflix. Some of my favorite shows to watch are Friends, The Office, and Grey’s Anatomy!

Q: Describe what you want to experience in the next year, only using emojis:

A:  🎓👗👠💄🏃‍🎸✈️🌃🛳🏝📷

Q: What’s your favorite social media platform, and why?

A:  Instagram for sure! I love seeing how people express themselves through their photos and videos on Instagram. I also love all the new features Instagram is constantly adding such as Instagram story. This is the app I am always checking and updating my own life on. I just can’t get enough of it!

Q: What do you want to do when you grow up? ;)

A: I have a passion for beauty/fashion as well as for advertising/public relations so I hope to combine the two in my career life. Some of my interests in the field of AD/PR are writing and social media. I would love to be a copywriter or social media content coordinator for a company that represents fashion/beauty brands one day!

Q: What do you want to learn more about at your internship?

A: I would love to learn more about social media in my internship! I am very interested in the process of creating content for social media on a professional level rather than personal, such as my own account. I am also excited to better my writing and communication skills for blog posts that I will be writing at my internship!

Brooke Bandoni

Major: Advertising/Public Relations

Minor:  Writing and Rhetoric

Q: What is your dream company to work for?

A: I don’t have a specific place that I want to work at, but wherever I end up working, I hope it’s a fun and positive environment and that I get to work on some fun projects. I have a pretty open mind about what jobs or opportunities might come my way.

Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?

A: My phone. I get really anxious when it’s low on battery and I think I can only count on one hand the number of times I’ve forgotten it at home. It’s glued to me.

Q: Describe what you want to experience in the next year, only using emojis:

A: ✈️☕️👩🏻‍💻🌷

Q: What’s your favorite social media platform, and why?

A: I love Snapchat. Instagram generally only highlights people’s best moments and most flattering photos of themselves, and Snapchat is more real and raw. People aren’t afraid to be themselves and really capture what their daily life is like and how they’re doing.

Q: What do you want to do when you grow up? ;)

A: I want to be a be a put-together professional with a successful career doing *something* with advertising or public relations, and surrounded by good friends and good vibes :)

Q: What do you want to learn more about at your internship?

A: I’d like to learn more about account management and new business development. I really enjoy learning about the business that goes into advertising and interacting with clients as well as become Hubspot and Photoshop certified.

Harshita Panuganty

Major: Marketing

Minor: Mass Media

Q: What is your dream company to work for?

A: My dream is to work at my own company one day :) Until I achieve that though, I would love to work for a company that has great core values, creatively driven, and is a good environment to work in. I think something fun to do as a marketing major would be to work for Buzzfeed.

Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?

A: I can’t live without my phone! I love using is to listen to music, watch netflix, talk to my friends and family, take photos with, use social media with, basically everything!

Q: Describe what you want to experience in the next year, only using emojis:

A: ✈️🌎📖🍴👗💵❤️

Q: What’s your favorite social media platform, and why?

A: I would have to say that Instagram is my favorite social media platform to use. I think Instagram is a good mix of all the other major social media platforms. Like Facebook, you can share photos and captions, you can post like you can on Twitter, there’s DM’s which is the messaging platform, and like Snapchat you can post stories. So I think it’s the best platform to do everything you love to do on other social media platforms.

Q: What do you want to do when you grow up? ;)

A: I really would love to do something in the marketing/mass media field in relation to the things that I love: traveling, fashion, beauty, and more! I hope that I will be doing something that i truly enjoy, something I’m excited to wake up every morning to!

Q: What do you want to learn more about at your internship?

A: From this internship, I hope to gain an insight about social media marketing and business management. I think this will be a great opportunity for me to take a peek into the real world and learn the inner workings of how a successful business is born!
